About me
Mihir Mahale
Computer Scientist. Philosopher. Builder.
I study Computer Science and Philosophy at Syracuse University — not because the combination is unusual, but because I cannot imagine doing one without the other. Code is how I build things. Philosophy is how I decide what is worth building.
Who I am
I grew up in Mumbai, spent a semester studying in London, and am currently at Syracuse, NY — each place has left something in me that the others could not. Mumbai gave me scale and noise and the ability to find signal in chaos. London gave me distance and perspective. Syracuse gave me the space to think slowly.
I hold a 3.90 GPA and was awarded the Invest in SU Scholar honour — given to the university's highest-achieving new students. But grades are not what drive me. What drives me is the feeling of a problem that resists easy answers.
I have interned twice at PwC India, built apps that identify venomous snakes, designed an encryption algorithm inspired by DNA and sunflower geometry, and led digital strategy for live events that reached over a million views. I am not easy to put in a box. I have stopped trying.

What I believe
Depth over breadth
I would rather understand one thing completely than skim ten things superficially.
Ethics before efficiency
Technology that works but harms is not a success. I think about Robot Ethics and AI alignment not as electives but as obligations.
Build to understand
I learn by making. Every project I have built has taught me something a textbook could not.
Questions over answers
The most interesting problems are the ones that resist resolution. I am comfortable living in that space.
Let's talk
If you are building something interesting, thinking about something hard, or just want to have a real conversation — I am genuinely interested.
